For a stronger profile and more balanced facial appearance, Columbus Cosmetic offers a variety of facial implants. Cheek, nose, chin and lip implants can be used to create symmetry or make needed changes to a person’s basic shape. For those with asymmetry due to traumatic injury or as a result of a natural deformity, Dr. Houser and Dr. Kraft can also artfully create a custom implant.
Facial implants make effective changes to the face both by themselves as well as in conjunction with other procedures. It is not uncommon for an implant to be placed during other surgeries like facelift, brow or neck lift, rhinoplasty, or chin/neck liposuction. Combining procedures like this isn’t always necessary, but it can be a great way to save money on surgical fees and time in recovery. Through a thorough consultation, Dr. Houser or Dr. Kraft will listen carefully to your goals and help you decide whether or not implants alone will suffice.
As with the majority of Dr. Houser and Dr. Kraft’s surgeries, facial implant procedures can be performed on-site in the same location where your previous appointments took place. Dr. Houser, Dr. Kraft, and their staff pride themselves on being an accredited surgical facility through the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, which can only be accomplished by providing the highest level of patient care, safety, cleanliness, and emergency response procedures. The vast majority of patients respond well to the silicone material Dr. Houser and Dr. Kraft’s implants are made from, and scarring tends to be imperceptible. Incisions can be hidden in the contours of the face or even in the eyelids. Again, as is the case with most procedures, your implants can be placed during twilight anesthesia, which generally allows for a faster, more gentle recovery.
Dr. Houser, Dr. Kraft, and their staff at Columbus Cosmetic look forward to providing the right implant procedure for your individual goals and facial structure.
