What is Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration?

Portrait Plasma™ skin regeneration is unlike any other treatment available today. It is not a laser, radio frequency, or light-based treatment. It is a completely new plasma energy technology that works both on and below the surface of the skin to modify the skin’s architecture so that new collagen is generated.

Portrait Plasma™ is effective in reducing the look of fine lines and deep wrinkles, treating sun-damaged skin, improving skin tone and texture, improving acne scars and tightening skin. It works on a variety of skin types.

Can this procedure be used on my entire face or is it just for small areas?

Portrait Plasma™ skin regeneration can be used to treat an entire face, chest, neck, hands or a smaller specific area. Treatment for an entire face can take as little as 20 minutes; a regional treatment can be as short as 10 – 15 minutes. Shortly after, you will see improvements in your skin texture and tone and diminished wrinkles giving you a new, more vibrant and youthful appearance. Over time you will see continuing improvement that is truly unique.

How does Portrait Plasma™ work?

Portrait Plasma™ works by delivering millisecond pulses of nitrogen-based plasma to the skin’s surface via the system’s novel handpiece. What should I expect following Portrait Plasma™ treatment?

At a very low energy level there will be very mild redness. At lower levels of treatment there will be some mild redness and flaking of the skin. At higher energy levels, the outer layer of the skin browns and is shed three to five days after treatment. Once this occurs, the redness of the regenerated skin will last for two to three days. It usually takes from one or two days, to just over a week until makeup or shaving may be resumed. Dr. Houser will help you decide which level of treatment will give you the results that you desire.
